Meet Our Team
Jason Glass, MD
Dr. Glass attended the University of Maryland in College Park, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in General Biology. He went on to attend Medical School at George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. graduating with Distinction with his Medical Doctorate. Dr. Glass completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by a Clinical Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Department of Digestive and Liver Disease.
Asif Husain, MD
Dr. Husain earned his medical degree at the Aga Khan University Medical School in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of North Dakota, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Washington University in St. Louis.
Brian Berk, MD
Dr. Berk holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hofstra University. He attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science/Chicago Medical School, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Berk completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, followed by a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Jason Slate, MD
Dr. Slate received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He also attended the University of Louisville for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He completed an Internship in General Surgery at Yale University’s Hospital St. Raphael, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Robert Wood Johnson/Rutgers University Medical School.
Dr. Slate completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami. He has been in practice as a gastroenterologist since 2004 and was a founding partner of a gastroenterology clinic in Puerto Rico. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of GI and Hepatobiliary diseases.
Patrick Olise MPH, PA-C
Mr. Olise holds three master's degrees. He received his Master of Public Administration from California State University in Hayward in 2001, a Master of Public Health from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, Georgia in 2003, and a Master of Medical Science from Mercer University College of Healthcare professionals, also in Atlanta, in 2014.
Kyle Ruckman, PA-C
Mr. Ruckman grew up in Cortez, Colorado and attended Montezuma Cortez High School. He went on to Colorado College in Colorado Springs where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience. He graduated from Boston University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Boston, Massachusetts.
Briana Ward, PA-C
Ms. Ward holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in chemistry with a Biochemistry Concentration from Kent State University, where she was an Honors College Scholar. Ms. Ward comes to the Four Corners from Ohio, where she worked as a Physician Assistant at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton.
Shawn Bunnell, CNP
Mr. Bunnell holds both associate and bachelor’s degrees from Utah State University, a bachelor’s in nursing from Weber State University, and a master’s in nursing from Boise State University.
Mr. Bunnell served in the U.S. Marines Corps where he attained the rank of sergeant before being honorably discharged in 2002. He is originally from Utah but comes to the Four Corners from Massachusetts where he worked as a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner. When he’s not working, he enjoys the outdoors, traveling and good food, especially tacos.
