San Juan Regional Medical Center is the 2025 New Mexico Hospital Association’s Quest for Excellence top overall hospital winner, as well as the award recipient in the General Acute Care category. This is the second year in a row we have been named Top Overall Hospital. Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI Accreditation

San Juan Regional Medical Center is proud to once again earn Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI, reinforcing that we are more than a hospital — we are a trusted destination for advanced, life-saving care. The American College of Cardiology awarded the reaccreditation, reflecting the specialty services and clinical expertise we offer, ensuring patients experiencing chest pain receive timely, evidence-based care when every second matters.

Hospitals that have earned Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI Accreditation have proven exceptional competency in treating patients with heart attack symptoms and have primary PCI available 24/7 every day of the year. As a nonprofit community hospital, we are proud to meet national standards while remaining deeply connected to the people we serve.

Honored for Heart Attack Care

San Juan Regional Medical Center has received the 2025 American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold achievement award for the 9th consecutive year. As part of an elite group of prehospital providers, our EMS first responders are committed to implementing a higher standard of rapid, research-based care to people experiencing the most severe form of heart attacks and strokes, ultimately saving lives.

MRI Accreditation

San Juan Regional Medical Center has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®). We were awarded the gold seal of accreditation as an MRI Accredited facility in Vascular, Abdominal/Body, Orthopedic, Neurological and Breast imaging for our GE SIGNA™ Artist MRI scanner.

Mammography Accreditation

San Juan Regional Medical Center has been awarded a three-year accreditation in mammography by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.

Laboratory Accreditation

San Juan Regional Medical Center’s main laboratory has received full accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), our trusted partner in laboratory accreditation. This accreditation confirms that we are a high-performing laboratory committed to delivering high-quality results to our patients.

AirCare Services Awarded Accreditation

San Juan Regional Medical Center’s AirCare air ambulance service has been reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS). CAMTS accreditation helps ensure the highest safety and customer care standards through a rigorous audit process.

Baby-Friendly® Facility

San Juan Regional Medical Center has received the prestigious Baby-Friendly® designation from Baby-Friendly USA. As a Baby-Friendly® designated facility, SJRMC is committed to practicing high-quality processes and evidence-based practices designed to support mother/baby bonding.

Nationally Accredited Childcare Facility

San Juan Regional Medical Center’s onsite childcare center, Children’s Discovery Place, has earned reaccreditation through 2029 from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
