The Auxiliary of San Juan Regional Medical Center is committed to helping other hospital departments by providing compassionate, well-trained, and resourceful individuals who provide quality care and customer satisfaction.

Volunteers may choose to join the Auxiliary or the inservice program. The Auxiliary is a service organization established in 1952 that sponsors the Gift Market, teenage volunteer program for those 14 years of age and older, and events to raise funds for patient care, equipment, and educational assistance for those interested in a medical profession.

Because of the time investment in orientation and training, we ask volunteers for at least a six month commitment. Some volunteer opportunities include:

  • Cancer Center (Radiation Oncology)
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation Gym
  • Children's Discovery Center
  • Information Desk
  • Childbirth Center
  • Clerical
  • Crafty Creations
  • Emergency Department

Our Volunteers

Volunteers play a vital role at San Juan Regional Medical Center. Not only do they supplement and support our employees to deliver excellent patient care, but they also do a great job with fund-raising. Proceeds from fund-raising, including sales from the gift market, are used to purchase equipment for the hospital and provide educational assistance to people pursuing careers that will benefit San Juan Regional Medical Center. Volunteers are also eligible for educational assistance.
