The Auxiliary of San Juan Regional Medical Center is committed to helping hospital departments by providing compassionate, well-trained and resourceful individuals who deliver quality care and customer satisfaction. The Auxiliary was established in 1952 as a service organization. It sponsors the Gift Market, teenage volunteer program for those 14 years of age and older, and events to raise funds for patient care, equipment and educational assistance for those interested in a medical profession.

Our Volunteers are Stars

Congratulations to three of our outstanding volunteers who were honored at the 2026 New Mexico Hospital Association’s Annual Meeting. Robbie Rudd was recognized for 10 years of service and was also nominated for volunteer of the year. With more than 2,500 volunteer hours at San Juan Regional Medical Center, Robbie brings a servant’s heart, a warm smile, and a helping hand to our patients every week. From escorting patients to their destinations to bringing joy to children as our beloved volunteer Santa, Robbie makes a difference in countless lives. Karen Morrison was recognized for 15 years of service. In addition to volunteering, Karen has also served on our Board of Directors. Deb Dumont was recognized for 10 years of service. Deb not only volunteers at the hospital, she is also a longtime employee who celebrated 35 years of service this past year. We are so grateful for volunteers like Robbie, Karen and Deb. Their kindness, dependability and passion for serving others inspire our caregivers, volunteers, and community.
