Caregiver Experience

At San Juan Regional Medical Center EVERYONE is a caregiver. We all have a passion, a purpose, a commitment for being in healthcare. We invite you to meet some of our caregivers and learn why they love being a part of San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Caleb Blair, RN

Emergency Department

“San Juan Regional is the best job I have ever had. I have had a lot of jobs in my life, and this is without a doubt the best job I have ever had. I have had situations where I have saved lives, literally saved a human life. And I have walked out of this hospital after a grueling long shift and cried. But it was tears of satisfaction and fulfillment.”

Margaret Dubick, RN

Outpatient Nursing

“I love going to work every morning. Not just because of the family in the clinic that I work with, we have patients that have come for years and they become part of the family. Also we have people that we've seen for 20 years that you know them, you know what's going on in their lives. So not only do I have a work family outpatient is also where our patients become our family.”

Nala John, MLT

Laboratory

“There are a lot of satisfying things about working at San Juan Regional. I think the thing I really appreciate is the community… being a community-based hospital. I've had family come here as inpatients. I've been to the ER, I've had my kids here, so it's nice knowing and being a part of the community.”

Dr. Sugar Singleton, Family Medicine Physician

San Juan Health Partners Urgent Care

“I grew up in this community. But it goes deeper than that for me. When I walk into a room and people tell me stories about my parents or grandparents… those things really touch my heart. It really makes me feel that I have an even higher standard than that of a doctor. I want to be a great doctor. But I also want to make my ancestors proud. The generations that have come before me. Having grown up and lived here my entire life, I really feel honored to be able to come back and practice medicine here because these are not just patients. These are my friends, this is my family and I am privileged and honored to be able to practice medicine in Farmington, New Mexico.”

Monica Nagahiro, BSN, RN, RCIS Clinical Quality Coordinator

“I’m a lifer here. I was a Country Club Eagle, Heights Knights, Farmington High. I have worked at the hospital for 23 years as a nurse. I have cared for my teachers, my mentors. Being a nurse at San Juan Regional Medical Center has been an honor.”
