Employee paid. San Juan Regional Medical Center offers a choice of two medical plans and four levels of coverage (Employee only, Employee plus child, Employee plus spouse, and Employee plus family. PPO and HDHP options are available.

Flexible Spending Account & Dependent Care

Employee paid. Flexible Spending Accounts to help cover out of pocket expenses for dependent care and/or medical care utilizing pre-tax payroll deductions.

Health Savings Account

Employee paid with employer contribution. Health Savings Accounts for out-of-pocket expenses. Pre-taxed payroll deductions. 


Employee paid. Preventative care 100% covered. Orthodontic benefits available. Can utilize FSA or HSA


Employee paid. Vision available with low co-pays, coverage on frames, prescription lenses and contacts.

Retirement Plans

403b plans available with employer match. 100% vested after 3 years of employment


Employee paid. Accidental, hospital indemnity and critical illness plans available for caregiver and family.

Generous PTO plan including carry over of unused hours within limits, birthdays, holidays, bereavement, and jury duty.

Basic Life and AD&D

Employer paid. Full and half time employees covered at 1x base annual salary.

Optional Life

Employee paid. Available for employee, employees' spouse and children. New employees can elect up to $200,000 without providing evidence of insurability for themselves.

Short-Term & Long-Term Disability

Employer paid benefit. Full and half-time employees are eligible for up to 60% of gross earnings.

Continuing Education

Employer paid. Effective after six months of employment. Renews yearly. Carryover option.

Certification Pay

Employer paid. Maximum of three certifications for additional rate added to base rate of pay.

Tuition Reimbursement

Employer paid. Eligible after six months of employment for pre-approved degrees and certification programs.


Cafeteria discounts, service awards after five years of employment and every five years ongoing.
