Monday, December 15, 2025 San Juan Regional Medical Center Announces Chief Nursing Executive

 

San Juan Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Alan Vierling, DNP, MSN, RN, CENP, FABC, has been named as Chief Nursing Executive. He has been serving as Interim Chief Nursing Executive since October.

Dr. Vierling brings extensive experience as a senior healthcare executive, having served in leadership roles including Chief Nursing Executive, President, and Chief Operating Officer across large health systems nationwide. His proven track record in nursing leadership, operational excellence, and patient-centered care is a tremendous asset to San Juan Regional Medical Center.

“Dr. Vierling’s leadership has already made a meaningful impact on our organization. His extensive experience, commitment to excellence, and dedication to our patients and caregivers make him an exceptional fit for this role,” said SJRMC’s President and CEO Jason Rounds. “We are confident that his guidance will further strengthen nursing practice and enhance the quality of care we provide to our community.”
