This three-hour course will focus on the basics of breastfeeding and caring for your newborn. It will focus on what to expect the first month from your newborn and as you get started breastfeeding. It is intended for first-time parents or as a refresher course for anyone who is interested. The class will include the Golden Hour, newborn procedures, initiating and maintaining breastfeeding and basic care aspects including hunger cues, sleep, soothing a crying baby, feeding, diapering and infant health and safety. This course is an excellent opportunity for the parents needing an overview of what to expect and to help determine if additional courses are needed.
