This class covers what to expect for both mom and baby during the postpartum period which extends into the first year after the birth of the baby. Topics include postpartum healing, what to expect from your newborn and serious complications like postpartum depression as well as important ways to take care of self during the first year with a newborn.
This class covers what you need to have as you bring your baby home from the hospital from the absolute essentials and must haves, to what you shouldn’t waste money on and the things that are no longer considered safe, even if they are still on the market. We will discuss what is safe to buy used or to borrow versus what should be a new purchase. We will cover keeping up with product recalls, safety guidelines, product expirations and how to determine if something is a good buy. The baby industry makes billions each year selling items that you may only use a few times or not at all, learn what is worth the investment and what is best left on the shelf.
This class will last 30-45 minutes (depending on the children attending) and will cover very basic information about babies, baby dos and don’ts, practice with a doll, how to act at the hospital and a story time.
