Monday, September 15, 2025 San Juan Regional Medical Center’s New Childbirth Center Unveiled with Ribbon Cutting

San Juan Regional Medical Center invites you to join us for a ribbon cutting as we unveil our new Childbirth Center. This state-of-the-art, family-oriented environment is the culmination of more than a year of renovations. Our caregivers are eager to showcase the newly remodeled space that’s designed for comfort, safety and connection to our community on October 7. The event, which includes a ribbon cutting and tours of the new space, starts at 10:00 a.m.

The remodel includes a number of exciting improvements, including:

Welcoming, secure entrance 

  • The Childbirth Center is a locked, secured unit with matching armbands for safety
  • We offer free wi-fi throughout the unit

Updated private patient birthing suites

  • Fully equipped for any birth, blending innovation with a gentle, supportive approach
  • Private bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs for water therapy during labor
  • Overnight accommodations for your support person

Support of Mother/Baby Bonding

  • Immediate skin-to-skin contact
  • Expert breastfeeding support from certified lactation consultants at no cost to you
  • We are proud to be a Baby-Friendly® designated facility

State-of-the-Art Birthing Gym

  • A large jacuzzi tub providing additional options for water therapy
  • Birthing bars available for positioning, giving mothers more flexibility during labor
  • A variety of labor tools to encourage natural movement and enhance comfort
