Tuesday, November 9, 2021 San Juan Regional Medical Center, Community Leaders to Hold Virtual Town Hall to Discuss COVID-19

San Juan Regional Medical Center is inviting the community to participate in a virtual town hall on Wednesday, November 10 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. regarding the current COVID-19 status in San Juan County. The event will include a panel discussion with hospital and community leaders, and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.

San Juan Regional Medical Center is experiencing high patient volumes as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in San Juan County. A public health alert was sent out last week to residents’ cell phones and digital message boards were deployed informing residents and visitors of the public health crisis. The hospital and local leaders are asking our community to come together to stop the high rate of spread and help reduce the burden on the local healthcare system.

As leaders in our community, want to keep everyone informed and updated. This virtual Town Hall is an opportunity to share critical information and for our community to ask their questions.

Panelists include:

  • SJRMC: Jeff Bourgeois, President/CEO, Dr. Brad Greenberg, Emergency Medicine Physician, Suzanne Smith, Chief Nursing Officer
  • City of Farmington: Mayor Nate Duckett, Chief of Police Steve Hebbe
  • San Juan County: Commissioner John Beckstead, Sheriff Shane Ferrari
  • New Mexico Department of Health: Dr. Laura Parajon
