Get Your Free Flu Shot at San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinics
Protect your health and the health of those around you by getting your flu vaccine this fall. San Juan Regional Medical Center is offering two opportunities with our annual drive-thru flu shot clinics. It’s one way we’re proud to give back as your community owned hospital.
This year’s free flu shot clinics will be held:
- Saturday, October 25
- Saturday, November 1
- North visitor parking lot (corner of Maple Street and Schwartz Avenue in Farmington)
Flu shots are available on a first come, first serve basis for adults ages 18 and older. To make the process as smooth as possible, participants are asked to wear a short-sleeved shirt, or roll up their sleeve ahead of time, and be prepared to receive the vaccine in the upper arm near the shoulder by the time their car reaches the nurse.
The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older receive an annual flu vaccination, ideally by the end of October. To schedule a vaccine for children under 18, please contact San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics at 505.609.6700, or talk to your child’s provider.
In addition to getting your flu vaccination, you can keep your family healthy and safe this flu season by taking everyday precautions:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water
- Cover coughs and sneezes
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home if you are sick
- Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with viruses
