Friday, March 6, 2020 SJRMC Keeping Community Informed about Coronavirus with New Hotline

San Juan Regional Medical Center now has a Coronavirus Information Hotline up and running to share important information with our community. You can call 505.516.0938 or 888.949.5387. Our team is staying abreast of all updates from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and New Mexico Department of Health. In addition, we are partnering with key community stakeholders, including city and county officials, local school districts, law enforcement and fire departments, to coordinate our response in order to best care for our community.

Part of that response is sharing communication about coronavirus. The hotline numbers will be available 24/7 and information will be updated on an ongoing basis to provide our patients and community members with the information they need to protect themselves and their loved ones. According to the CDC, the risk of getting COVID-19 in the United States is currently low and most people who get it will experience mild illness and not need to come to the hospital. If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath and you’ve been in contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19, or if you’ve recently traveled to parts of the world with high COVID-19 infection rates, you should contact your healthcare provider for further instruction. If you do not have a healthcare provider, you can contact the New Mexico Department of Health at 505.827.0006.
