Monday, October 9, 2023 San Juan Regional Medical Center Offering Free Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinics

San Juan Regional Medical Center wants to keep you and your loved ones healthy this flu season. We are offering two opportunities to get a free flu shot as part of our commitment as a community owned and operated hospital. Our annual drive-thru flu shot clinics will be held on:

  • Saturday, October 28
  • Saturday, November 4
  • North visitor parking lot (corner of Maple Street and Schwartz Avenue in Farmington)

Flu shots are available on a first come, first serve basis for adults ages 18 and older. To make the process as smooth as possible, participants are asked to wear a short-sleeved shirt, or roll up their sleeve ahead of time, and be prepared to receive the vaccine in the upper arm near the shoulder by the time their car reaches the nurse.

The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older receive an annual flu vaccination, ideally by the end of October. To schedule a vaccine for children under 18, please contact San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics at 505.609.6700, or talk to your child’s provider.

In addition to getting your flu vaccination, you can keep your family healthy and safe this flu season by taking everyday precautions:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • If you are sick, stay home
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with viruses
