This 3 ½ hour course is an accelerated version of the childbirth education series course, it condenses 4 weeks of class into one session.  Class is offered monthly and covers topics at a fast pace.  It is an excellent refresher course for parents that have already had a child or for new parents that are unable to attend the 4 week session.  It covers everything from what to expect during the third trimester of pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum concerns, to breastfeeding and newborn care. Due to the condensed nature of the course, it is not as hands on as the series but does still give parents a valuable opportunity to ask questions.  Lots of valuable information is provided as reference materials for parents to take with them and read at their leisure.
