San Juan Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive array of diabetes services from group classes to one-on-one education by our certified diabetes educators and registered dietitians with a referral from your doctor.

High glucose levels can affect many parts of the body. Untreated, diabetes can lead to diabetic eye disease, nerve disease, and kidney disease. It can blur your vision or make you feel tired or thirsty all the time. People with diabetes also are more likely to get other health problems including high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, heart disease, and difficulty fighting infections.

Diabetes is a complicated and challenging disease because 98 percent of diabetes care decisions are made by the person living with diabetes. Invest in your health. Our hospital supports a healthier community with free diabetes education classes and encourages individuals to make an investment of their time and energy.
