Monday, May 6, 2024 SJRMC Welcomes VP of Quality and Patient Safety

San Juan Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Beth Fingado, BSMT, MBA, LBC, LGC, has joined the organization as the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety.

Fingado is a Lean Gold Certified Sensei and operational leader with more than 20 years of senior leadership experience. She is a strategist and process analyst with the proven ability to proactively identify and resolve problems collaboratively, bringing about significant system change. She comes to San Juan Regional Medical Center from the University of Texas Medical Branch where she served as the Vice President for System Optimization and Performance. Prior to that, she was the Director of Strategic Support Services/Lean Systems Improvement at Denver Health and Hospital Authority, where she led the organization’s performance excellence journey. Fingado also spent 16 years at the University of New Mexico, working for the hospital, Physician Associates, School of Medicine, Health Sciences Center, Medical Group and Health System.

Fingado holds a master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s in Medical Technology (BSMT) from the University of New Mexico. She is certified as a Lean Sensei from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers/Shingo, receiving Gold and Bronze level certifications.

Her professional interests include performance excellence, operational executive leadership and coaching, strategic planning and quality and process improvement. She has participated in numerous national speaking engagements on these topics and looks forward to bringing her knowledge and expertise to San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Fingado is a native New Mexican. She is married with two adult children and loves spending time outdoors, hiking and exploring with her two little dogs, Jesse and Catie.
