don't underestimate the power of a lemonade stand

When Madisyn, 11, and her 8-year-old cousin Jaycee recently decided to sell lemonade, cookies, brownies and muffins to support healthcare workers at San Juan Regional Medical Center, they had no idea how giving our community would be. They raised $525 in just one day! Encouraged by the support, they reached out to family and friends on Facebook and were able to collect $600. The girls brought the donations, along with cards for our frontline workers, to the hospital this week.

“We want them to know we are still supporting them,” they said of their reason for holding the fundraiser. “People kept stopping to donate, it was amazing!”

We at San Juan Regional Medical Center are blessed with a generous community and want to thank these caring young ladies for their amazing support of our caregivers.
