San Juan Regional Health

San Juan Regional Medical Center is easing masking requirements at the main hospital as we continue to see a low transmission rate of COVID-19 in our community. We will no longer be requiring masks at the hospital, effective immediately.

• We ask that visitors entering our buildings self-screen
• If you are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms, or are COVID positive, you will be required to wear a mask to protect our patients, caregivers and each other 
• Caregivers will no longer wear masks during direct patient care, unless a patient’s condition requires masking (such as COVID positive patients)
• Those who prefer to continue wearing a mask are encouraged to do so

Emergency Department and Clinics

Please note that patients presenting to the Emergency Department or Urgent Care with influenza-like symptoms or COVID will be required to wear a mask. 

• For healthy individuals with no flu-like symptoms, masks continue to be optional at all San Juan Health Partners clinic locations and ancillary outpatient clinics
• Those who prefer to continue wearing a mask are encouraged to do so

San Juan Regional Medical Center is committed to keeping our community healthy by ensuring that community spread is minimized. Our masking policy is based on the county transmission rate and could change depending on fluctuations in the county’s COVID transmission rate.
