Tuesday, December 6, 2022 San Juan Regional Medical Center Announces New Class Offerings for Expecting Parents

San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Childbirth Center is pleased to announce two new class offerings to meet the needs of new and expecting parents. All our Childbirth Center classes are offered free of charge as a community benefit compliments of San Juan Regional Medical Center, your community owned and operated hospital.

Bump Day:

  • This 2-hour class discusses what to expect on your delivery day from the time you go into labor until baby is delivered. 
  • It covers breathing strategies, tips for laboring at home, when to come to the hospital and what to expect, as well as medical interventions such as an epidural. 
  • Offered December 13 at 10:00 a.m. and December 17 at 1:00 p.m.

Gestational Diabetes: 

  • This 2-hour class is intended for moms with gestational diabetes, however anyone just wanting information is welcome to take the class.

We also offer several monthly classes, including our Childbirth Preparation Series, Accelerated/Refresher Childbirth Preparation class, Postpartum Care and Concerns and Newborn Care.
