San Juan Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce its 2021/2022 Board of Directors, approved at Wednesday’s Corporation meeting.

Dr. Scoggins is a pediatrician at San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics, where he has been caring for Four Corners children since 2014.

Two new members were elected onto the board at the meeting to replace Terri Fortner, who left the board to assume her elected position as a San Juan County Commissioner, and Jeff Howle, who rotated off. New board member Jon Moore represents Animas Credit Union, where he is Vice President. Jon is a graduate of New Mexico State University and leadership San Juan. He has volunteered with San Juan United Way, San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Finance Committee, has served as a grad coach for Farmington High School and is very active with youth at his church.

New board member Shaña Reeves represents the City of Farmington, where she is the director of the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs department. Shaña was born and raised in Farmington, attended college at New Mexico State University, and also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from New Mexico Highlands University. She has a passion for serving her community and sits on 10 community boards and/or advisory commissions.

Anna Buffington was appointed to the board as the representative from San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Auxiliary. She takes over the position from Eileen White, who has served in the role since 2017.

“We are grateful to Terri Fortner, Jeff Howle, Dr. Chavez and Eileen White for generously sharing their time and expertise in service to our Board of Directors,” said Jeff Bourgeois, President and CEO of San Juan Regional Medical Center. “It’s the hard work and dedication of leaders such as these that helps to make San Juan Regional Medical Center a great community hospital.”

“On behalf of the board, I would personally like to thank Jeff, Eileen, Terri and Dr. Chavez for their commitment to improving healthcare in the Four Corners. It has been a pleasure working together with them to serve our hospital and community,” Board Chair Sherry Galloway said.
