San Juan Regional Medical Center is an acute care hospital in the Four Corners region with 198 licensed beds. This class supports breastfeeding mothers and their babies and families who love them. The class is geared for women in all stages of pregnancy as well as those who want to review the basics of breastfeeding. Topics include benefits of breastfeeding, expectations the first week, breastfeeding in the hospital, positioning, and other common concerns. Please register one person per family. If registration is full when you wish to take the class, please contact the childbirth educator at 609-2134. The class is usually scheduled one Saturday every other month from 1:00-3:00pm at the Childbirth Center classroom, 801 W. Maple St. Farmington, NM. Please check the calendar for exact dates. Please note: both Baby Care and Basic Breastfeeding are included in the Childbirth Series Class. Please do not register for these in addition to the Series Class.
