San Juan Regional Rehabilitation Hospital
This specialized 20 bed hospital provides inpatient care to members of the community who need intensive, comprehensive rehabilitation. The hospital, the only licensed acute rehabilitation hospital in the Four Corners, is located at 525 S. Schwartz Ave. in Farmington, NM, across Maple St., from San Juan Regional Medical Center.
This facility serves those with acute and chronic rehabilitation needs as a result of stroke, spinal cord injury, amputations, back surgeries, brain injuries and other injuries or illnesses that can benefit from an intensive rehabilitation program. Here patients spend 3 or more hours a day, Monday through Friday, in therapy activities to relearn and practice dressing, bathing, walking, talking and more. They work on getting stronger, improving balance, coordination, endurance or thinking skills, all with the objective of returning home.
