Dr. Marc Flitter
Marc A. Flitter, MD is a native of Easton, Pennsylvania. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Lafayette College and his Medical Degree at Temple University of Medicine in Pennsylvania. He served as a US Army Reserve commissioned officer from 1969-1977. Dr. Flitter interned at Boston City Hospital, and completed a residency in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Temple University. He has been in private practice since 1987 and a resident of Farmington since 2001. Affiliated with San Juan Regional Medical Center and San Juan Rehabilitation Hospital, he is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Flitter is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, New Mexico Medical Society and San Juan County Medical Society. He volunteers as a clinical assistant professor at the University of New Mexico Department of Surgery.
Dr. Flitter is married to Alice Flitter, a professional artist, and they have three children. In his free time, he rides horses, and is the published author of Judith's Pavilion (Steerforth Press 1997, S. Royalto, VT).
Dr. Raul Rivet
Raul V. Rivet, MD is a native of Camaguey, Cuba. He received his undergraduate education at Kentucky Wesleyan and Evansville College, and his Medical Degree at Indiana University in 1965. After finishing a rotating internship at Duval Medical Center, he enlisted in the military as the United States Medical Officer, serving actively until 1968 and as a reservist until 1972. Dr. Rivet completed a surgical residency at William and Wishard Memorial in Indiana, and a neurosurgical residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida. In 1977, he was awarded a fellowship in sterotactic neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Rivet has been in private practice in Farmington, New Mexico since 1994. He is affiliated with San Juan Regional Medical Center and San Juan Rehabilitation Hospital and serves as adjunct assistant proffesor at Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and clinical assistant professor for the University of New Mexico School of Medicine Department of Surgery.
Dr. Rivet is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and sits on the New Mexico Medical Review Commission. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, New Mexico Medical Society and San Juan County Medical Society.
Dr. Rivet is married to Blanca Rivet and has three grown children. He enjoys woodworking, sailing, fishing and winemaking as leisure activities.
Dr. Ted Maurin
Edward (Ted) E. Maurin, MD is a native of Denver, Colorado. He pursued his undergraduate education at Colorado State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering in 1987. He completed his Medical Degree at the University of Colorado Medical School, graduating with honors. Dr. Maurin completed his internship in General Surgery and a residency in Neurosurgery at the medical Center Hospital of Vermont. He has been in private practice in Farmington since 2002. He is affiliated with San Juan Regional Medical Center and San Juan Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Maurin is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and as a Diplomate by the National Board of Medical Examiners. Additionally, he is a member of the San Juan Independent Practice Association, San Juan County Medical Society, and the New Mexico Medical Society.
Dr. Maurin is married to Kimberley Maurin and they have two young children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, boating, motorcycle riding, hiking, sailing and tae kwan do.
